Rafflecopter has chosen the winners of the Happy Halloween giveaway!
A HUGE congratulations to Abby and Jaclyn! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!
I don’t know how many of you are interested, but as I mentioned on The **Spoiler** Board, I was Nike, goddess of victory and tennis shoes as I handed out candy to Trick or Treaters last night.
Amelia, I made sure I had wings to go with my shoes. Thanks for the head’s up!
I’ve been strangely busy over the past few weeks. I went to DC last weekend to hang out with two old friends who live there: Angela and Ems. It just so happened that another dear friend, Martha, was running a 10K race with her brother at the same time, so we had a bit of a reunion.
(If those names sounds at all familiar, it’s because I dedicated Of Witches and Wind to them and the other kids we hung out with in middle school.)
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: old friends are the greatest gift life can give you. I don’t think I could write about Rory, Chase, and Lena so well if I didn’t know these ladies.
Other life things are coming up:
Last night, one of my roommates moved out, and today, I have another roommate moving in. It’s kind of stress-free. The new roommate lived here before; we actually took over the lease from her last year. But subletting a room is one of those things which makes me feel like an actual grown-up. You know, rather than someone who’s really only twelve even though her driver’s license proclaims that I’m twenty-seven. Hmmm. Maybe both is true.
PLUS, next week, I’ll have some visitors! Two friends, Arielle and Cathy, will be coming to stay with me! This is the first time any of my college buddies have come to see me out here in Portland, and I’m REALLY excited to show them around my fair city of Portland.
On The Ever Afters front, I got the first pass pages for Of Sorcery and Snow!! This is the last time I get to see it (and change things) before it becomes a book, and it’s the last thing that happens before I get THE ADVANCE COPIES! WOOHOOO!
And check out how FANTASTIC the title page looks:
I’ll be sharing something ELSE with you this weekend (hint: it’s not the ARCs or galleys, but it’s still pretty cool)! So keep your eyes peeled!!
