Hello, dear readers!
I have been woefully absent online recently. My life has gone from busy to whoa-what’s-happening? and this blog has fallen by the wayside since I’ve been so slammed.
For example, in the first few weeks of April alone, I’ve been in:
North Carolina: Where I’m living now. It feels very strange.
Arizona: Where I attended the first ever Of Giants and Ice play, adapted and performed by current and former Tucson BASIS North students in seventh grade. It was awesome.
New York: Where I visited a museum in upper Manhattan and a wedding celebration in Brooklyn. What a weekend–remind me later to post the clip of it snowing over daffodils in Fort Tryon Park.
Oregon: Where I returned to Portland to speak at the Next Level series at SCBWI and visited the place I used to live. I still miss it.
It has been a whirlwind month after a winter of transitions. I have half a dozen blog posts in the works, but none are ready for publication. And unfortunately, I still don’t have the time to finish them right now.
So, I’m going to make it official and announce a BLOG HIATUS–at least through mid-May.
I will aim to catch up then, with book giveaways and Journeypen Project posts and lots of pretty pictures from my travels, but for now, I have to bid you à bientôt and focus on some real-life matters…such as catching up on sleep and setting up internet for the new apartment I moved in about six weeks ago.
I know. Isn’t that crazy? I can’t remember the last time I watched something on Netflix, let alone completed a new Ever Afters Facebook update.
Sigh. It’s just been one of those years.
Happy spring, and talk to you next month!
